Main issues concerning North American museums during COVID-19 in 2020
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit the museum sector hard with many institutions across the globe having to close to the public. According to a November 2020 study, roughly 78 percent of surveyed museum employees and governance in North America were concerned about having to reduce opening hours due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, about half of the respondents expressed concern about the staff downsizing.
